Gentleness of Steel

Contribute to a sustainable society.

Steel is a material that possesses numerous excellent properties, such as high strength, easy workability, and outstanding durability, making it a suitable material for building a sustainable society. It is the mission of "Man of steel" to utilize such steel in a more environmentally friendly manner. This quest for sustainability starts with a focus on "cold drawn finished steel bars."

Cold drawn steel bars are environmentally friendly in their manufacturing process.

In terms of utilizing finite resources effectively, the manufacturing process of cold drawing steel bars is considered environmentally friendly. In contrast to cutting, where a significant amount of scrap is generated, the majority of the material is utilized in the drawing process. Moreover, the process is faster, requiring less energy and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process.

Our equipment in the factory are choosen with consideration for environmental impact.

In order to reduce power consumption during production, we have introduced high-efficiency motors into our factory equipment, which suppresses power consumption compared to conventional motors. We plan to continue replacing motors as needed. Additionally, all of the factory's lighting has been switched to energy-efficient and long-lasting LED lighting, which has reduced power consumption to one-third of the previous level. Sanyo Metal Industry will continue to consider reducing environmental impact from all perspectives.

Through continuous efforts, we aim to obtain ISO 14001 certification.

In recent years, consideration for environmental conservation has become essential for all companies. Sanyo Metal Industry has also started to move towards obtaining ISO 14001 certification to reduce environmental impact of its own business activities, products, and services.

We are challenging decarbonization with the IHQT system. Quenching and tempering by induction heating

The IHQT system utilizes induction heating to heat the steel quickly and uniformly, which prevents oxidation and minimizes uneven heating. This innovative heating method uses electromagnetic induction instead of conventional fossil fuel heating methods, allowing us to pursue decarbonization through electric heating.
